Basketball boys go to Cache

On Monday the seventh-grade Demons played in the Cache tournament. The Demons played Elk City. The Demons beat the Elks in a close game thirty-three to thirty-one.

“I think I played better in the fourth quarter than the rest of the game,’’ said Sawyer Rice. ‘’I think we need to work on passing,’’ said Rice. ‘’I think we have a chance to win all the games and come out on top,’’ he said.

The seventh-grade Demons are in the winner’s bracket. They will play the next tournament game against Altus the game will be on Thursday. If the Demons win that game they will play the winner of Weatherford and Anadarko.

The tournament will continue throughout the week but can be cut off early if a team gets eliminated by losing. If a team loses in the first round, they will be taken to the losers bracket, and if they lose there they are eliminated. If they win, they advance in the winner’s bracket.

The winner of the winner’s bracket and the winner of the losers bracket will face off for the title. This tournament is the last of the season, and it ends Saturday if they get far enough. It is the end of another basketball season at the middle school.
