Kindalyn Miller’s art work, based on the move “IT,” demonstrates the pop culture impact of the recent movie.

“IT” is a new movie based off the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The movie is a remake of the original 1990 movie. The new movie came out in theaters Sept. 8.

The movie in my opinion is more funny than it is scary. The only thing that really scares you is the jump scares, nothing that will keep you up at night, unless you’re seriously afraid of clowns.

The movie is about a clown who feeds off of kids fears. This clown, Pennywise, terrorizes the town of Derry. He tricks kids and eats them. He also has a thing for red balloons. These kids try to kill Pennywise and stop him from terrorizing the town.

 The old movie’s clown looks more like a normal clown than the new Pennywise. The new clown just looks a little creepy.

There’s going to be a second chapter to “IT.“ It’s supposed to come out in 2019. The second chapter is going to take place 27 years later, when Pennywise comes back to Derry.

The movie is all around good, funny and just a little creepy. I definitely recommend watching it.
