Eighth grade is going to have a great season. They did well during their beginning-of-the-season scrimmage against Marlow and won.
I talked with some of the eighth-grade football players about this season, and I think they are going to do great. The team is ready with strong leadership, including quarterback Zander Van Bebber, corner Carson Nalley, running back Boston Burris, center Ivan Ortiz, safety Jaxon Millan and wide receiver Tre Petties.
During the scrimmage, Petties scored the first point for the Duncan Demons. Van Bebber threw great the whole game and got us some points.
I am really proud of the Duncan Middle School football team, and I’m really excited to see them play more.
I think we have a really great football team this year.
The scrimmage was really fun to watch, and I loved being there. It made me want to watch football even more.
Marlow is a good team, but I feel our team worked better together and communicated more than Marlow’s team, which is why I feel we got more points.
Overall, I think it gave the football team a feel of how it will feel when they win this season. We just need to keep practicing and working as a team.
