Basketball is an amazing sport.
I play basketball for DMS, and it is so much fun. The coaches are great. My teammates are encouraging and hype.
What’s missing is the school spirit, especially from the boys basketball team.
At the Cache Basketball Tournament, the eighth-grade girls were playing, and the game was very close. Both of the boy teams were cheering and being loud on the sideline, which gave us encouragement.
I think it would be a great idea to have both boys and girls play at the same place for all of our games. If the game is away, they will all go to wherever the game is, and if the game is home they will all play at home.
We can have more school spirit because our teams will get to watch each other and cheer every team on.
I think both seventh-grade teams should play, and then the eighth-grade teams will play after.
For example, seventh-grade girls would play first, then seventh-grade boys, after that the eighth-grade girls would play, and the last game would be the eighth-grade boys.
If we all played at the same place, there will be more school spirit and all of our teams can watch and cheer each other on.
This will bring so much more school spirit to Duncan Middle School.
